Pakistan Origin Card
A person shall be an eligible foreigner of Pakistan origin or
eligible for Pakistan Origin Card if he is a foreigner; and he had been a citizen
of Pakistan at any time during his life or he has the relationships to the citizens
of Pakistan, such as his/her spouse is a Pakistani national.
Among other cards, NADRA Ordinance envisages issuance of cards to foreigners of
Pakistani origin who have got themselves registered under the NADRA Ordinance. This
card is called the Pakistan Origin Card. On account of its utility, it is an identification
document usable in place of NIC whenever required. However POC is more than just
an identification document.
Benefits to POC holders
• Visa-free entry into Pakistan
• Indefinite stay in Pakistan
• Exemption from foreigner registration requirements
• Permission to purchase and sell property
• Right to open and operate bank accounts
• Substitute for the Computerized National Identity
Card (CNIC) where proof of identity is required.
Name, Color and Design of POC
The POC should have the same design and with blue colour as the
NIC in English, bear a barcode, which should be readable by a machine. It should
be called the Pakistan Origin Card (POC) and carry a printed statement in English
to the effect that applicant is entitled Visa free entry in to Pakistan specimen
attached at Annex A.
National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis
Among other cards, NADRA Ordinance envisages issuance of cards to Pakistani workers/emigrants
and citizens /resident abroad and Pakistanis holding dual nationality who have got
themselves registered under the NADRA Ordinance. This card is known as the National
Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP). On account of its utility, it is
an identification document usable in place of NIC whenever required. However NICOP
is more than just an identification document.
Benefits to NICOP holders
• Without prejudice to any other rights, benefits,
privileges or capacities enjoyed by or available to a non-resident citizen who simultaneously
holds the nationality or citizenship of any other country or state together with
his Pakistani citizenship, such non-resident citizen shall, upon issuance of the
card to him and during the period of validity of his said card, have the right to
enter into Pakistan without a visa from such port or place, by such route and in
accordance with such conditions, if any, as are prescribed pursuant to the Passport
Act, 1974 (XX of 1974).
• A card validly issued to a non-resident citizen
shall be the conclusive proof of his being a citizen of Pakistan for the purposes
of availing protection of the Government of Pakistan in any foreign country or state
as a Pakistani citizen. The Federal Government shall recognize, afford and ensure
full protection as citizens of Pakistan available under the law to all cardholders
abroad.
• The Authority may arrange for and make available
other lawful benefits, rights and privileges for holders of the card, as it may
deem fit, in association with governmental or private organizations or entities
in order to give registration incentive to the citizens under these rules.

How Do I Get NICOP/POC Card
There are two ways to get NICOP/POC Card;
1- Applying through NADRA Swift Registration Centre (In Pakistan)
2- Applying Manually
NADRA Swift Registration Centre
The NADRA Swift Registration Center's were designed keeping corporate organizations
as a model. The purpose is to provide customers with the best facilities and services
available, and treat each customer as a VIP.
The Swift registration centers (SRC's) is designed as a one-stop-shop, designed
to eliminate inaccuracy in the re-issuing of the ID cards by minimizing human intervention
in handling NIC forms as seen in the past experience.
SRC team consist of courteous, polite and well mannered group of individuals consisting
of qualified data entry operators and management staff familiar with registration
rules to guide the applicants in the best possible manner capable of answering any
queries about the system.
The NADRA Swift Registration Center's operate on the principal of live data capture
and require the applicant's presence with their old NIC's and other related documentation
to process a NICOP application. At the center's the applicants are professionally
guided through a process of data entry, photo imaging, signature and thumb impression
capture using latest technology and expert assistance from the trained staff.

to the task at hand and Pakistan.
Applying Manually
Get NICOP/POC Forms from our website, fill properly with black ink mentioning current
address of SPAIN and permanent address of Pakistan, attach two passport size photographs
and submit it to our office by hand or by post with required documents and fees.

have dual nationals with the countries. Please note that the people enjoying nationality
of any other country not listed below is ineligible for NICOP rather he or she can
apply for the POC card shown valid proof of documents.
